Privacy

The short version

We are a small mobile grooming business, not a data company. We collect what we need to groom your dog and to see which parts of this site people actually use.

We do not sell any of it, and there is no advertising on this site.

When you book an appointment

The booking page loads a scheduler made by Acuity Scheduling, which is owned by Squarespace. Whatever you type into it, your name, phone number, email, the address we are driving to and what your dog needs, goes to Acuity and to us.

We use it for one thing: running your appointment. Getting to your house, knowing what to bring, and reaching you if something changes.

Acuity stores that information on our behalf, so their handling of it falls under Squarespace's privacy policy.

Payment happens in person, cash or card. This site never takes a payment and never sees a card number.

When you call, text or email

Your number and whatever you send sit on Courtney's phone and in our email, the same as any other message. We use them to answer you and to handle your appointment.

Texting us does not put you on a marketing list. We do not have one.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser and reports back which pages you looked at, roughly where you are based on your IP address, what device and browser you used, and whether you clicked a call, text, email or booking link.

It gives us counts, not names. It can tell us the phone number in the header was tapped forty times last month. It cannot tell us that it was you.

Google processes that data for us. Their side of it is covered by Google's privacy policy and by how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

To opt out, install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings. Everything on the site works exactly the same either way.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, their servers record the requests they serve, and those records include IP addresses. That is a byproduct of delivering a web page. We do not use those logs for anything.

Photos of your dog

Courtney photographs most of the dogs she grooms, and some of those photos end up on this site, on our Google profile or on Facebook.

We post the dog. We do not post your name, your address, your street or anything else that points back to you.

If you would rather your dog was not posted, say so and that is the end of it. If something is already up and you want it gone, ask and we will take it down.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to advertisers, data brokers or lead-generation companies.

There are no advertising or retargeting pixels anywhere on this site. Google Analytics is the only third-party tracking on it.

Links to other sites

Our Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile pages belong to those companies. Once you are on them, their rules apply, not ours.

Children

This site is for adults booking dog grooming. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

Email us or call or text, and ask us what we have on you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop texting you. We will take care of it.

The one thing we hold on to is what we need for appointments already on the books, plus whatever a payment record requires. Once that is done, it goes.

Changes to this page

If any of this changes, we will rewrite this page and change the date on it. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not keep one.
